I am revisiting my pantry shelves to use up food ingredients awaiting use and making my meals from scratch. I always make 'planovers', a larger quantity for later meals..put in freezer in portions for easy use. Also, Meatless Monday is now a couple of days a week...soak beans overnight and create tasty casseroles with kidney or other kinds of beans.

Everyone on HRM staff needs to work smarter. And collaborate, instead of working in silos, each reinventing the 'wheel' or duplicating thought processes and actions. Efficiencies are a must. Is anyone evaluating?
If more public are given the opportunty to make meaningful suggestions, point out weak links and so on, money could be saved. Speaking at Council is not a favourite pasttime for many...revisit the communities for Engagement where all ages can speak up in a more welcoming environment.

I like the example posted regarding cancelling youth Rec Programmes. Here in Mainland North/Clayton Park West/Fairview, we have very limited HRM programmes, any age,..you get the picture, hence vandalism happens! Even a regular dropin rec site would help our youth.
