Just three days after announcing he was “considering" a run for mayor, the Chronicle-Herald outed anti-transit union comments on its site as belonging to an account created by Stephen Adams. The councillor rather disingenuously claimed that he had two “friends" who using the account and they, not he, made the comments. Adams wouldn't say who the supposed friends were. If Adams was lying, he was doing it badly, but it's even worse if he was telling the truth. Way back in the toddler days of the internet, circa 1995, groups of people might have found it useful to share a single email and commenting account, but anyone who does so in 2012 is simply a fool, and shouldn't be trusted anywhere near the mayor's office.

Oh, and the handle on the account is “Spryfield Guy Until I Die." Adams, the councillor for Spryfield, lives in Bedford. Adams voted against censuring Kelly. He voted for removing the Hydrostone from the north end BID, but was absent for the vote on the St. Pat's-Alexandra sale. He voted not to pursue the stadium.
