Spelling bee good

No one needs to know to spell anymore, right? That's why those angry red lines in Microsoft Word are there. Wrong, peeps. There will always be some nagging chunk of your soul missing. You won't know what it is, but you'll feel a pang every time Caesar salad is spelled incorrectly on a menu.

Just ask the smarty kids on Canada's Super Speller, a new series produced by Halifax Film, airing on CBC TV. The taping of the Atlantic regional spelldown is on Thursday, August 21, 2pm, at Saint Mary's University (923 Robie). If you want to bring your invisible red pen or learn a thing or two, tickets for the taping are free, reserve at 1-877-335-3534.
