Snoop on film

He’ll never hold an Oscar, but this rapper’s solid gold. A video retrospective of Hollywood icon, Snoop Dogg.

Snoop does what he does best: play Snoop. Here’s one of two cameo appearances on Entourage. Really though, even when he changes names and characters (Murderess on Monk, Slim Daddy on The L Word), he’s Snoop. And that’s what we want.

Riding high on Soul Plane: “I’m the captain of the motherfucking ship!”

Snoop reinvents the classic character Huggy Bear in the 2004 Starsky & Hutch, the only thing worth embracing in this stinker.

Snoop really pushes the limits here: he’s cast as a velour-clad drug dealer in Training Day. But wait for it…he’s in a wheelchair.

A trailer for The Tenants, co-starring Dogg and McDermott, which looked like it had promise, but it only screened in one theatre and got royally trashed. It’s at Video Difference if you want to see for yourself.

Killa Pop (Snoop) punches Young Loc (comedian Darryl Brunson) with his golden fists, in the prison gang film, The Eastsidaz.
