Published August 14, 2003.SloanAction Pact (BMG)Pretty Together (2001) introduced a newly matured Sloan, a band who went from being downright cheeky to slightly subtle and then much more serious. Together dealt with forbidden romance ("The Other Man", "If It Feels Good Do It", "Who You Talkin' To"). The new Action Pact deals with the fallout ("Backstabbin,'" "Noth-ing Lasts Forever Anymore," "The Rest of My Life"). Sloan is no longer a four-way tug-of-war for attention—the lines have blurred nicely into a strong, confident, cohesive rock and roll unit. —Trevor Savorycategories: Local artist,Canadian artist,ECMA nominee (2006),ECMA nominee (2007)
