Shelley Hamilton: A New Hope

Hamilton presents her acclaimed one-woman play. In 1791, British abolitionist John Clarkson embarked on a mission to America, determined to improve the living conditions for Black Loyalists in Nova Scotia, and to promote the colonization of Sierra Leone in Africa. A New Hope shares the Black Loyalists’ stories, their hardships, and their hopes for a better life in a new land.
