Shag Harbour UFO Festival

You’ve heard the story: So many people see a flying object crash into the Atlantic near the South Shore fishing village in 1967, that the paper trail from RCMP and military investigations turns the Shag Harbour Incident into just maybe this planet’s best-documented UFO case. You can guess what a UFO Festival is about: Guest speakers Saturday and Sunday afternoons ($10 each day), entertainment like spacey movies and Halifax jazz sextet Unidentified Jazz Object, a fashion show. And if you can’t drive down nearly to Yarmouth, there’s even a talk about Shag Harbour in Halifax Tuesday, August 12, 7pm at the Captain William Spry Community Centre (10 Kidston Road, 479-4487). Shag Harbour Incident Society UFO Interpretative Centre, 5615 Hwy #3, Shag Harbour.
