Mermaids, sandcastles, music and food? It's like summer, distilled, is washing ashore at Alderney Landing for this family-friendly fun fest. The Halifax Mermaids will be on hand, along with professional sand-sculptor Shawn Gayton, and over 100 tonnes of sand to play with. Don't forget your sunblock!
