Saint Mary's Reading Series: Deanna Young & Kerry-Lee Powell

Deanna Young is the author of three books of poems, The Still Before a Storm and Drunkard’s Path. In the fall of 2014 Brick Books published her third collection, House Dreams. Her work has appeared in journals across Canada, including The Malahat Review and Arc. Kerry-Lee Powell has lived in Australia, Antigua, and the U.K., where she studied Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cardiff University and directed a literature promotion agency. In 203 she won the Boston Review fiction contest, the Malahat Review Far Horizons Award for short fiction, and the Alfred G. Bailey Prize. Her first poetry collection, Inheritance, was published in 2014 by Biblioasis; both a novel and a story collection by her are forthcoming from HarperCollins. Room 101.
