Get classy at the opera Stay cool inside with the Halifax Summer Opera Festival's rendition of Rusalka—an opera based on the original Slavic fairy tale of Undine, the water nymph, who is doomed by her love for a human prince. You may recognize it as the Hans Christian Andersen adaptation of The Little Mermaid but a whole lot darker and deeply moving. Bonus: no annoying talking fish and an opportunity to brush up on your Czech (also projected with English translations).
