By now we all know the inaugural Drag Race hall of famer (crosses fingers for Jujubee), but as of right now, I do not. All I know is that the penultimate episode of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race had my television companion and I screaming with joy so loudly the cat hid behind the armchair. What is so wonderful about this show is that it can take something like possibly the lowest budget mini-challenge ever (a basketball shoot-off) and hot glue- gun it together into a heartwarming gigglefest. Guest judge Elvira didn’t seem overly familiar with the show (really?), but that was fine because that amazingly creepy plastic mask of Raven’s stole all focus away from Elvira’s classic boobs. Take that! I’ll also overlook what was seemingly the perfect chance to get rid of Shannel, because RuPaul’s suspenseful delivery of “chanté, you both stay” had us lifting our glasses filled with cake-flavoured vodka in celebration.
