Live Acoustic at the Paramount Lounge
(Great Beyond)
If you have somehow forgotten how great Rick White can be with an acoustic guitar in an intimate setting—which was the original premise of Elevator to Hell—surf right over to www.elevator.ca/gb.htm and order a copy of this solo set. On it you will find a couple of tunes that have recently surfaced on the band’s latest, August (“Live” and “The Change”), superb covers of Paul Simon’s “A Most Peculiar Man” and the Stones’ “She Smiled Sweetly,” as well as a bunch of tracks where the much beloved Julie Doiron shares vocal duties. Fun stuff for any Elevator buff.
