Revisited

Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. That's three lovelies for 2b Theatre's Revisited. One is for the story, a tale of life and love that manages to be both specific and universal at the same time. One is for the acting. Neither Steven McCarthy in his multiple roles, including the neurotic piano teacher, the female town busy-body and the young man in the throes of love, nor Michelle Monteith as the vulnerable young woman who is the centre of his life, is anything less than 100 percent believable. The third lovely is reserved for the amazing design of the show which includes sophisticated lighting and sound and simple objects used in fanciful ways. The sheer beauty of this play, and its reminder that even the simplest life is valuable and fleeting, will bring tears to your eyes.
