Lucy Marrion Pauker
Lucy Marrion Pauker explores the intersection between Jewish and queer identities, using visual metaphor and mind-mapping to create weavings. The works recall Jewish feminist scholar's Susannah Heschel tradition of placing an orange on a seder plate to represent LGBTQ+ Jews and the painter Agnes Martin's famous quote on sexuality: "I’m not a woman, I’m a doorknob, leading a quiet existence.”
