Making new memories in an old home.

untitled.bmp.jpeg

I grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia. My parents lived in the house I grew up in for 32 years and I have many beloved memories growing up there with my family. When my parents could no longer look after our turn of the century home, the house was sold to a lovely couple from Ontario who bought it for a Bed and Breakfast. They renovated the house back to its original glory with historic colors, hardwood floors, and antique furniture. While visiting my hometown this December, my boyfriend and I planned to stop into my old house and talk to the owners... we were welcomed and sat down to share a glass of wine. We went on a tour of the house, and after entering my old bedroom, he got down on one knee and proposed. I was blown away that he knew this was the perfect place to ask me. I still get teary when I think of it.
