Published November 20, 2003.PinkTry This (Arista)Pink and Tim Armstrong? Pink and Peaches? These may seem like a pair of unlikely duos, but those who’ve had a chance to listen to Pink’s latest album know this isn’t the case. “Oh My God” is a duet on which a toned-down Peaches appears, resulting in the sexiest single on the disc. Then there’s Rancid’s Armstrong, who adds a finer edge to Pink’s aggressive, hostile pop-rock sound. Pink won’t be pigeonholed as a pop diva or soul-baring chanteuse. She’s going to keep pushing the envelope, so sit back and Try This.—Trevor Savory
