The award-winning curator known for pioneering Canada's video art presents three installations for the fest: DisOriental (Outdoor Video Screen)—Dressed in white, wearing a bamboo sun hat, Wong materializes himself at the entrance of the Saint-Etienne Bridge in Limognes France navigating using an iPad screen; #LLL, Looking, Listening, Looping (Craig Gallery)—10, 10" x 12" screens play a series of animated GIFs that compete for attention and overwhelm; Flash Memory (Outside the Craig Gallery)—A chronology of photographs flash on and off at 15 pictures per second, 900 frames per minute. Artist talk at The Wooden Monkey on August 21 at 5:45pm.
