Created by Ben Richards (Space Channel, Sundays at 9pm)

The premiere episode starts well, with Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica’s Lee Adama) walking out of the wilderness of the planet Carpathia to the enclave Fort Haven. It’s a village of earth refugees, with lots of rules about meat-eating and weapons, waiting desperately for more humans to arrive from the devastated homeworld. Turns out Bamber is loose cannon Mitchell Hoban, the leader of a weaponized security group at odds with the executive administration and the constabulary, of which his wife is an officer. Everyone has dreams for how to rule the new planet, but no one can agree. With eight episodes expected of this BBC production, it shows plenty of promise, but wasn’t renewed for a second season, so enjoy it while you can.
