Just when we were beginning to wonder what happened to the friendly faces of DaPoPo Theatre, they're back again! After sharing their skills with some European audiences and taking a bit of a breather, they're ready to revisit the much-loved Cafe DaPoPo. Order from a menu full of tasty morsels of theatre such as sonnets, poems, songs, sock puppets, monologues or satisfying rants (plus your table will get a free appetizer performance that'll likely leave you craving more). Tuesday's cafe will be the first of five that'll take place around town over the next few months and it's also their first time performing at a university venue. "We wanted to make sure that the transient student community knows there's independent theatre happening out there," says Kim Parkhill, DaPoPo's associate director. Book your group in advance and every fourth person gets their order for free. That means your side order of Shakespeare just got a little cheaper.
