On Patrol

In our city, every Municipal Malfunction deserves to be fixed

17.52-on-patrol-pic.jpg

What’s wrong?
Missing signs on the boardwalk.

Who’s responsible?
Kelly Rose, Waterfront Development Corp., 422-6591.

Remarks
A reader sends in this picture of one of the blue directional signs on the waterfront, commenting that “they have all been removed now that the cruise ships and tourists are here.” Rose says that the signs are being updated and temporary signs have been installed on the blue pedestals, but those are apparently becoming souvenirs. The new signs should be up mid-June, she says..

Survey Asks

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
