To the editor,

With reference to the article "Industrial revolution," September 27, by Carsten Knox, of all the things I consumed during the recent Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television luncheon, my words were not on the menu. For the record, and after speaking to others who were in attendance, my words were as follows: "I'm Steve Mayhew and I have a major in Canadian Film and Television and a minor in speaking to the press."

I continued briefly with applauding any and all efforts from any sector that are to the benefit of the Canadian Film and Television industry. If I "gushed" about anything, it was about the importance of building and supporting Canadian filmmaking, which I have witnessed and been a part of for the past 36 years.
