NSCAD film students screen their year's work

Head down to Park Lane Thursday night to see films from (maybe) the next Cronenberg

Nova Scotia College of Art and Design film students will have the chance to share their cinematic creations in a series of public film screenings on Thursday, April 19 at the Empire 8 Park Lane Theatre (5657 Spring Garden Road, 423-4860) at 7pm. Don’t feel like watching movies in which crazed teenagers find inventive ways to kill each other? How about a classic crime drama or a Celtic supernatural thriller instead? Come early, as tickets will sell out faster than Titanic 3D. Admission is $5 at the door.
The five short films this year are:
No One’s Watching by Justin Tomchuk
Fuddle by Kirsten Stanley
Crossing Over by Karolina Szablewska
When You’re Gone by Christian McDonald
The Lone Tree by Caleigh Childs

Also screening a day earlier, Wednesday, at Park Lane, 7pm, $5: work by students in Sol Nagler’s classes. On the bill is Screaming Calf by Meredeth Milton, A Broken Record by Jarrett Shaw and Eighteen by Stephanie Young.
