Nooks & Crannies | Shoptalk | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

Nifty antique emporium Nooks & Crannies (2411 Agricola) is toast. The shop closed its doors on November 24. "It's part of a long term plan. We had planned on being in town and having a store for 10 years," says owner Michael Skinner. (Nooks & Crannies was open for 11.) But take heart, fans of "eclectic, new-to-you collectibles": if you've got a way to get out to Hubbards, Skinner has your back. Two years ago, he and partner Tony Goodwin (co-owner of Nooks & Crannies) opened Mother Hubbards Cupboard, a store very similar to Nooks & Crannies, at 30 Main Street in Hubbards. Meanwhile, The Printer, the appropriately named printing shop next to Nooks & Crannies, is set to expand, and move part of its business into the N&C space. Call Mother Hubbards Cupboard at 857-3766.
