Nocturne 2019

Art's annual big night out returns, painting (and sculpting and projecting and weaving and photographing) the town red with pop-up installations all over Halifax and Dartmouth. This year, curator Tori Fleming set forth the theme, Scaffold, which Nocturne says "asks artists to respond to their changing city in absurd and critical ways and explore how temporary structures can be used to make a larger commentary on the social, physical and political structures that shape our lives." The fest's kick-off party is Oct 11, and more details will be released in the coming months.
