Get ready to get inked, Sackville! New tattoo parlor Sienna’s Ink— home to Tatu JJ, the shops master tattoo artist—has set up shop at 73 Sackville Drive and is ready for business. JJ has over 18 years of tattoo experience under his belt and is ready to show Sackville what he can do.

“I first picked up a tattoo gun when I was 13,” says JJ, who moved to town 10 years ago. “My family owned a shop on the west coast.” JJ not only has talents in tattooing but also in acrylic painting, mural art, spray paint work, airbrushing and designing custom tattoos. Some of his paintings are displayed in the shop along with other local artists work. “Anybody who has skills in painting, we will give them a little bit of wall space,” says JJ.

He and fellow business partner Cassie MacDonald opened Sienna’s Ink because they believed Sackville was in need of a professional tattoo studio. The shop will be doing mainly tattooing and piercing, with paintings on request. In time for Canada Day Sienna’s Ink will be doing maple leaf tattoos and other patriotic ink as discounted rates. They also have a military discount, seniors discount and plan to showcase different specials every couple months. The shop will be open noon to midnight seven days a week, by appointment (call 869-8288 to make one) or walk in.
