You shouldn't need reason to listen to one of the best artists in folk-rock right now, but if you do, perhaps NPR's description of Case's singing voice will convince you: "Neko Case's voice sounds like it originates from the belly of Mother Earth herself. In her music, you can hear the roots of trees, the wisdom of ancient warrior bones, the shift of tectonic plates, molten lava and placid water," the music mag raves. Of course, if you've waited to be convinced that means you've missed your chance to see a sold-out set that's bound to be electric. Better luck next time.
