It seems imminent, really. They’ve got colleagues all over the country, having opened for Nelly Furtado, Blue Rodeo and Great Big Sea. There’s the high-rotation video for “Live” dropping all over MuchMoreMusic. There are the East Coast Music Awards. And now there’s the Juno nomination for New Group of the Year, up against Montréal pop-punks Simple Plan, dance stars One Ton, Nickelback clones Theory of a Deadman and jazz and bossa nova group Bet E & Stef. But Crush (Paul Lamb and Cory Tetford plus oft-forgotten drummer Santiago Serna and bassist Scott MacFarlane) seems content to stick around, despite all the signs pointing to the Big Smoke. Last year you voted for Buck 65 and he took off in the opposite direction, to Europe. So who knows.
