Mitch Fraser

Big on pop culture, Mitch Fraser's designs are influenced mainly by hip-hop, and are extremely wearable. "I'm always trying to challenge myself to take something basic, like the classic T-shirt, and see just how complicated I can make it," says the NSCAD student. His collections were inspired by the Fast and Furious series and his favourite childhood video-game characters. Growing up in the Annapolis Valley made fashion expression difficult, but he managed by "transforming all of my old jeans into skinny jeans, cutting up band shirts, dying my hair crazy colours, anything I could do to express myself," says Fraser. This featured outfit is "casual enough for everyday wear, while edgy enough for a nighttime look," says Fraser—so you can still look fresh for happy hour. Fraser plans to create two more lines before jetting off to design in South Korea.
