Lost Girls
Alan Moore
Top Shelf
Years in the making, here is another Alan Moore-penned, shelf-splintering hardcover volume that every self-respecting (and self-disrespecting) comic fan must own. With the soft, colourful and ornate drawings of Melinda Gebbie, Moore takes recognizable fictional characters—as he did in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen—Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Wendy from Peter Pan and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, and has them come together at a Swiss hotel before the First World War. There, the women, of different ages and experiences, engage in every sexual act imaginable, and then some. Lost Girls is literary pornography—classy smut, if you will, but thoughtful and involving just the same.

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
