I agree that Hubbards needs a little facelift in the plaza area however it has been making mojor changes in the last 5 years & continues to make pleasant changes. If you think the mean age of Hubbards is 90, start knocking on doors & check out the actual people that live there! Many 30 something-ings have moved in & are building, renovating and creating fabulous new small business', they are just not located in 'the plaza'. Hubbards is far more than the beach, it is a wonderful market, great food & has amazing plans for the waterfront. Yes it will be fantastic when the entire province of NS has some youth infused in government!
Hubbards is a thriving, alive community that is not oriented toward tourists & daytrippers every month of the year but it does offer an incredible sense of community for all that live there. Summer is fantastic for ice cream, fried fish, sand in your shoes & does offer all that you go there for! If you want to see 'the plaza' spruced up, fix it up, open a business, ask for more, don't just complain about it!
