Letters to the Editor

I must take exception to Mr.Scott Donovan's letter "Too Many Voices" in last week'sCoast. Somehow, Mr.Donovan has forgotten that Human Rights trumps policy formedby City bureaucrats. The "bigger picture" that he refers to, is actually a manifestationof Mob Rule! I hope he remembers that when all the responsible Coast readers gettogether to put a hyper space by-pass through his home on Bel Aire Terr. You hadbetter have a really, really great reason before you destroy someone's home and familyfor your convenience. There are other solutions to our traffic problems, including Mr.Donovan and his ilk taking responsibility for the number of cars that have to traveldowntown. There is such a thing as mass transit. And god forbid if anyone asks thequestion: Why is Downtown, downtown? We can put businesses and work in otherplaces other then the peninsula. And as for stakeholders; the input process that thisCity uses is flawed. Seems that money and unrestrained economic pillaging rates morethen the cries of families just trying to protect their homes and history from yourbulldozers. Come on Mr.Donovan, have a heart! Use your brain and talents to findbetter solutions and the rest of us will use our voices to stop the carnage.

  • Let’s invest in renewable energies instead
  • Depends how much cash I, personally, will receive
