Letters to the Editor

I'm sick of the constant, unnecessary violence that has found itself a little home here in Halifax/Dartmouth. It's disgusting.

It's four hours into the new year. A few hours ago, my 15 year old brother and his friend got jumped and assaulted on their way home.

It's become unusual to have a friend who has not been in a circumstance like the one above. I'm sick of this. I know I'm not the first person to have a comment like this but this has to stop. It's impossible for me to comprehend how someone could physically assault someone they don't know in the least.

I'd like to feel safe in my hometown. I'd like to have peace of mind. I don't want to have to worry and wonder if my friends and family can get home safe tomorrow.
