Khari Wendell McLelland brings his debut solo effort Freedom Singer to Halifax, the site where he researched the collection of songs that may have accompanied his great-great-great grandmother Kizzy as she fled US slavery into Canada on The Underground Railroad. North Preston super soul The Sanctified Brothers round out the bill.
