Josef K
Aside from putting out great bands like Artic Monkeys and Clearlake, Domino has been releasing some much-needed re-issues. None is needed more than Scotland’s great and sadly overlooked Josef K. Though the UK had seen the band’s rumoured unreleased debut plus its only official release in 2002, North America hasn’t been blessed with any recordings. So get ready for a sound that is the missing link between Television, The Fall and Franz Ferdinand. There is more pop than The Fall, but just as angular and cryptic. The disc collects some early singles, Peel sessions and tracks from the 2002 re-issues. It’s a must for fans of the post-punk revival.
