Actually if you listen to Talib which I did a lot of in NYC in the late 90's early 2000's and have seen him live- it's very jazzy hip hop. I think the fact that jazz fest is bringing in youth and black culture will draw in a lot of young folks who may not necessarily come out to listen to contemporary jazz music. I am also super stoked about Digable Planets- the jaZziest jivest hip hop from the 90's.
