Jean-François Provost: Plénitude du vide

When: Feb. 13-March 11 2009

In this series, Provost creates a black background, and then “fills the void” by layering paint, charcoal, extra pieces of canvas, and so on, carefully leaving some negative space to create a tension between foreground and background. Opening Reception: Friday, February 13, 5-7 pm.
