Jacob Owens' Conscript

Owen's new short Conscript, screening at AFF is about an alien love affair.

Some directors never get over their first success, especially when it involves cute animals. But Jacob Owens, director of the beloved Copain short film trilogy (about a gay hamster on a quest for love), has left the furry ones well behind. Owens describes his new short Conscript, screening at AFF, as "a love story of two aliens torn apart, as he is conscripted into the military to invade earth." The trailer is gorgeous, with the same aesthetic attention to detail that made his Copain films such a treat to watch. See for yourself at owensproductions.com.
