it's all a blur

my night and my photos

Deciding the skip the movie for the party (I really felt like I couldn't do both--it just felt wrong), the evening started off well as my 20lb. bracelet shot off my arm, into the air and across the floor of Dharma Sushi, as I waved hello to a friend who works there. Classy, that one. Then we witnessed a police takedown in front of Tom's before arriving just in time for The Heavy Blinkers (yah!), joined by Brent Randall (double-yah!) on maracas, both of whose new long-overdue albums I can't wait to hear. Buck 65 was a hip-hop robot (the good kind) escaped from the doldrums machine. Equally as exciting as his performance was the crowd's reactions--people loved it--and he sucked up the majority of the crowd from the V.I.P. section. Apparently there was a lot of glam sparkling around in there, but I didn't really see it on my brief visits.

But I was thirsty. That's why I'm blurry today. And may also explain why all my photos, which I'll post after they let me use the camera again, are also blurry. Except for photos of CBC people. That's really weird. Anyhoo, that puts me in a fragile place for The Stone Angel, an adaptation of one my favourite novels.
