Idle Sons
Sixteen Seasons
For every Our Lady Peace or Nickelback, there are 10 bands like Idle Sons waiting in the wings to strike it big. Unfortun- ately for those Sixteen Seasons in which their debut album was being prepped, it was not time well wasted—it was just wasted. There is no imprint left once the album has run its course. Also, it’s never a good sign when your label decides to include your lead single on a bland compilation of poorly pooled tunes (The Best Beer Drinking Album in the World, in this case). The artwork provides a glimmer of hope for some testosterone-fueled rock that could make it a guilty pleasure, but there is nothing here to compel anyone to press repeat.
