The Sawmill River has flowed under Dartmouth streets, in a culvert, since 1972, out of sight and out of mind... until now. The Human River Walk will celebrate the possible daylighting of the Sawmill River by re-enacting the gasperau fish migration. Walkers will meet at 1 pm at the assembly point at the corner of Irishtown Rd and Prince Albert Rd. The walk will begin soon after, and is expected to take 45-60 minutes. We will gather at Sullivan’s Pond Park for a celebration including photographs and a few words from the Ecology Action Centre and our friends.
