This just in: five-time Grammy winner James Taylor is coming to Halifax! The legendary troubadour has booked the Scotiabank Centre (1800 Argyle Street) on Tuesday, May 17 to support his most recent album Before This World, his first release of new songs since 2002's platinum-selling October Road. From the press release: "Before This World was released in June of last year and scored Taylor his first ever #1 album on the Billboard Charts." This is exciting.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, February 19, at 10am, with prices ranging from $97.50 to $131.00. Sure that seems like a lot, but it's James Taylor! Don't forget, we've got a friend in him! Watch this brand new teaser trailer (above), in which the longtime Rock and Roll Hall of Famer talks about his new album and his illustrious career. He's one of the best-selling artists of all time (with over 100 million records) and he's still as handsome as all get out. How sweet it is.
