Hopscotch Festival is bringing Freddie Gibbs to Halifax July 31

One of the biggest names in modern hip hop will play The Light House Arts Centre.

Halifax, this is not a drill. Freddie Gibbs—your favourite rapper's favourite rapper, who routinely steals the spotlight on tracks with Tyler, The Creator, ScHoolboy Q and Rick Ross—is coming to town July 31. Hopscotch Festival, the annual harbinger of fall and celebration of hip-hop, is offering the show as part of its off-season programming.

The Grammy-nominated artist is lauded for his dexterous flow, switching sonic styles without ever losing the beat. He'll take the stage at the Light House Arts Centre (1800 Argyle Street) for the July 31 show. In today's announcement, Hopscotch says early bird tickets will go on sale Friday, May 27 at noon—with prices starting at $9.99 and increasing until the show date. Keep an eye on Hopscotch's Instagram for ticket links.
