Hope for Wildlife Open House All Ages Sure Thing

When: Sun., Aug. 30, 12-4 p.m. 2009
Price: free
This annual event is a chance for you to see the animals cared for and rehabilitated at Hope for Wildlife. The not-for-profit rehab centre treats injured or orphaned native mammals and birds, including raccoons, fox, white-tailed deer and bobcats. On Sunday, you can tour the facility and learn about the animals while listening to live music and chowing down on barbecued food. You may even be able to ride one of the horses, if you're good. –Holly Gordon
