Honey LTD.

The Complete LHI Recordings (Light In The Attic)

reviews_feature8.jpg

Honey Ltd. was a Detroit vocal group on Lee Hazlewood's imprint Lee Hazlewood Industries. Like Hazlewood, the band never quite achieved the stardom it deserved in its heyday, but thanks to the efforts of Light In The Attic Honey Ltd.'s album is available once again. The songs' arrangements lend themselves more to the lush, '60s psychedelic sunshine-pop than they do The Marvelettes or The Vandellas. Intricate four-part vocal harmonies make "Tomorrow Your Heart" sound more like a The Piper At The Gates of Dawn take than any American contemporaries. Another stand-out is "The Warrior," one of the most powerful protes songs of the 1960s. An essential listen.

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
