DJ Fadzwa

DJ Fadzwa, who’s been rocking dance floors since 2013, knows a great party song. The local DJ selects a diverse collection of Afro-house, dance, moohmbaton, dancehall and more that transcends borders and just provide a good time for those who just want to sweat it out. Performing at Halifax Pride’s outdoor DJ dance spectacle The Grind, Saturday, July 22, $5, 8pm at Garrison Grounds with LAL, PlaysW/Music and Jules Bangsworth, Fadzwa says: “A song is party worthy when it crosses language barriers and allows for the people to just dance and feel the music.” For more DJ Fadzwa, check out Storm Chips, July 21 at the Khyber with High Fantasy, every Friday morning at Alteregos Cafe on Gottingen, Death Beach at the Khyber on August 21 and Sackville, NB’s SappyFest, Upper Economy, NS’s White Rabbit Arts Festival where Fadzwa DJs with DJ collective BAH NAH NAH.

Here’s a bite-sized playlist from DJ Fadzwa to get your body moving.

Toofan, “TERÉ TERÉ”

Athi, “Pretty Bum (feat. Patoranking)”

Yemi Alade, “Johnny”

Vybz Kartel, “Fever”
