Haven Season One

Created by Stephen King, developed by Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn (eOne)

Haven is like CSI meets The Twilight Zone. Haven, Maine---actually Lunenburg---is a small town with lots of bizarre things going on, from freak weather to psychic neighbours to people who draw voodoo dolls. The weirdest and most unbelievable part of this town is that nobody seems to care or notice. That is until FBI agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose) comes to town to investigate a single case and is compelled to stay---the bureau be damned! She teams up with local cop Nathan Wuornos (Lucas Bryant) who delivers a stunning portrayal as a still, lifeless LL Bean model. The show overall is safe and predictable, unlike the Stephen King novel it’s very loosely based on, The Colorado Kid. Only for supernatural obsessives or fans of our delightful Nova Scotia scenery.

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
