"Harperman" Singalong Sure Thing

When: Thu., Sept. 17, 5 p.m. 2015
Written and performed by Environment Canada scientist Tony Turner (who has since been suspended over its creation,) “Harperman” is the protest song heard ‘round the country. Groups have been gathering across Canada to perform the song in protest against Stephen Harper and his administration and now it’s Halifax’s turn. Join your pals and neighbours in performing the catchy tune that includes lyrics like “Whose smarmy smile is a thin veneer? Who preaches the politics of fear? Ignores the plight of native folks–missing women, it’s no joke.”
