Halifax Oyster Festival

The Coast presents the first Halifax Oyster Festival! Celebrate Nova Scotia oysters, local wine and craft beer on the beautiful Halifax Waterfront during this one day festival. October is prime time for Nova Scotia's rich oyster harvest. The quality of the Nova Scotia oyster is ranked among the best in the world but at home we often forget to herald its popularity and heritage.

There are two sessions, each three hours long. Ticket purchase includes all-you-can-eat oysters and a sample of Benjamin Bridge's Nova 7.

There will be additional craft beer and wine available for purchase.

Gahan House Harbourfront will be hosting the oyster shucking competition stage where amateurs and pros alike will compete for prize money.

Event is rain or shine. Wear your rubber boots, pull on a sweater, roll up your sleeves and come party like a Nova Scotian.
