Halifax Explosion Remembrance

It’s been 99 years since the explosion that rocked the harbour killed 2000 people and wounded 9000 more, wiping out swaths of the downtown in it’s wake. This event marks the exact moment of the explosion by firing a cannon from the ramparts at exactly 9:05:35 am, and offers time afterwards to reflect.
