There is lots of big big news for the busy women in Meat Curtains. After scoring $400 on the wheel at Rockin4Dollars a couple of weeks ago, the band is setting off on an Eastern Canada tour from October 8-16, playing with the likes of Dead Wife, Miesha and the Spanks, Dirty Beaches and many other bands you will probably also love.

The ladies will be bringing along a CD of unreleased songs along with some new ones, and local artist Rachael Parsons has provided drawings for the band’s tour shirts that remind us of a combination of Aline Kominksy Crumb and those freaky drawings from Scary Tales to Tell in the Dark (see above). These shirts will be available for you to buy come Pop Explosion time at their October 23 show at Gus’.

They also have a new tape coming out on Scotch Tapes—- Heather Rappard tells us it is tentatively titled Eden Disorder. Busy beavers indeed! Check out new songs and tour dates (as well as a cute avatar of the band rejoicing after their R4D win) at
